Fiancée/Fiancé Visa
Foreign nationals who intend to marry US citizens may be permitted to enter the United States on a temporary visa. The US embassy where the foreign national resides will require evidence and paperwork before they will issue the visa. Once the visa is issued the couple must marry within 90 days of the foreign national's arrival in the United States.
Once married the couple can file for the foreign national's Lawful Permanent Residence. This will put the foreign national on the path to getting a "green card" and will allow them to obtain a work permit while waiting for their interview with the USCIS.
The paperwork and documentation required to obtain the visa should be completed with the assistance of an experienced professional to minimize the problems that may occur.
